Each attorney at HARDY & HARDY is dedicated to community service through extensive volunteer activities in a variety of areas.


DEAN HARDY has donated many hours of personal time to the improvement of legal services for the poor. He has been a Member of the Board of Directors of Clark County Legal Services from 2002 to the present. In August of 2004, Dean was appointed as Chairperson of that Board. In addition, Dean has been a Trustee of the Eighth Judicial District Pro Bono Foundation since 2002. He also serves as a member of the Pro Bono Recruitment Committee. Dean has served on the Board of Governors of the Nevada Trial Lawyers' Association and as that Association's President. In that capacity, Dean has participated in the drafting and passing of legislation to help accident victims in Nevada. From 1992 to 2003 Dean co-hosted "Law for the Layman," a twelve week televised call-in program wherein viewers asked volunteer attorneys general legal questions about selected weekly topics such as landlord tenant law, citizenship, community pro bono services, etc.


WAYNE HARDY is actively involved as a volunteer with the Clark County Children's Attorneys Project. Through his involvement with this project, Wayne provides free legal services for abused and neglected children. In 2002, Wayne was recognized for his contributions to the Project by being selected to receive the Myrna Williams Children's Pro Bono Award. Wayne's commitment to helping the disadvantaged dates back many years. In 1989 Wayne received the Clark County Pro Bono Exceptional Performance Award for his many hours of donated legal services. He has been on the Pro Bono Honor Roll for several years in a row. Click on the certificates below for a larger view.



NANCY SOMERS is past Chairperson of the Nevada Law Foundation, and sat on the Board of Trustees of that organization from 1998-2004. Along with Dean, Nancy is a Colleague of the Nevada Law Foundation. That organization distributes private donations and interest earned on attorney trust accounts to worthy charitable organizations that serve the poor, seniors, children and other groups in need. During 2003 and 2004, Nancy has advised hundreds of senior citizens pro bono through referrals from the City of Las Vegas Senior Law Project in areas such as probate, estate planning, credit resolution, bankruptcy and social services. Like the other firm members, Nancy has accepted assignments of pro bono cases from the Clark County Pro Bono Project throughout her career. Click on the certificates below for a larger view.
