Background: Born in New Kensington, Pennsylvania on June 15, 1955. Graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (B.A. in 1978), and Pepperdine University (J.D. in 1981). Admitted to the Nevada State Bar in 1981. Admitted to practice in District Court, District of Nevada in 1981, and before the Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court in 1986.
